Youth lay the foundation for tomorrow.  So the transition into Opens division is important and up to now there's been a gap and that gap is closing fast.

High school youth to date have been in teams affiliated with their respective schools.  From now on they'll be affiliated with one of our three clubs rather than their school in a step to unite rather than divide.  This will also bridge the gap from the youth to opens and create a clear pathway forward as they youth grow..

Whilst our clubs are relatively new in the grand scheme of things, it's been extremely successful in tightening up our community.

What happens?

Youth teams stay the same.  However, they have a choice of which club (Donkeys, Hornets or Honey Badgers) they'd like to affiliate with and they're now a feeder team and affiliated to that club.  The Primary 5/6 teams will also be included.  Youth players can choose a club shirt and their team logo will be printed on the front.

The inter-school competition evolves into becoming the High School Club Championship and operates the same way as the Opens Club Championship.  Players are now not bound by which school they're at and their community widens.  Youth finals for this season will be with clubs not schools (ie. the top 6 players from each club will represent in finals regardless of which school they're at).

So if you're in one of these youth teams, have a think about what club you'd like to go to as this will come into place immediately.
