The Nationals Youth Boulder titles 2023 were held in Sydney over the weekend where a number of local athletes represented in the NSW team.

Henry George, Cooper Gale, Chloe Byrnes, brothers Fred and Archie Eather all competed with pleasing results.  There's no doubt that the level of competition continues to rise in Australia and competition at this level was well represented with teams from NSW, QLD, WA, SA, VIC and TAS with full quotas.

In the Youth A final, Archie was relegated to 5th from 3rd following an after-the-buzzer dubious technicality so is naturally disappointed but knows within himself where he's at.  Fred (photo above) fell agonisingly short of making the Youth B final but executed really well after some minor mistakes early but that's all it takes at this level.  He finished in 8th.  Both boys are the youngest of a two year category so are both still at the top of the game for their age.

Chloe finished 18th, Cooper 31st and Henry 24th. Expectations amongst our individual athletes were varied and but ultimately everyone performed exceptionally well in this extremely challenging sport and should be super proud of their efforts.

As parents, friends and our wider community we're proud of each and every one of them and the hard work they've put in on the day and the months leading into this event.
