It's been building for some time now and the Donkeys have delivered the goods when it mattered most taking out the T4L25 Club Championship finals with a dominant second half performance.

The Honey Badgers have held the title since it's inception and had a new-look team loaded in youth.  The players are a talented group so it was no surprise to see that they were leading at the halfway mark with a strong run on boulder 2.  Henry George broke beta on a dynamic sequence and the team capitalised with multiple tops.

The Donkeys were behind but within reach.  The Hornets were doing it tough but fought hard the whole way.

The second half was when the Donkeys pulled away with a dominant display on Boulder 3.  This was a strength based boulder so with fatigue coming into effect it was important to work it out early.

Fred Eather unpacked some technical details and the team solidified to jump on the opportunity with four tops and a roaring crowd behind them.  And this was enough as they had the title in the bag with an unassailable lead.  Boulder four was simply a formality for a job well done and celebrations already under way and the pressure released.

The score blew out in the end with Hornets on 80, Badgers 182 and the Donkeys 258.

Fred Eather was named best on ground and it really was a terrific team performance from all the players.  Cooper Gale, Nikala Murray, Lachie Butters, Jack Mitchell and Fred have finished on a memorable year for the Donkeys. Well done to the eeeooorrrrs.
