2024 is the first ever season of the A Grade in Tamworth.
All three clubs have been fielding their best possible teams before looking to build depth in their player ranks.
The Donkeys started the season with gusto off the back of obvious momentum building in 2023. No surprises here. They took the first two games and opened up a decent early lead on the ladder. However, their narrow loss to a full-strength Badgers in round 4 shows they're not bulletproof. They're currently on top of the ladder but have played one more game than the Badgers.
The Hornets haven't had the rub of the green so far but the team has grown immensely. Their depth is sound and the growth trend is up. A close Round 5 loss to a near full-strength Donkeys shows just how close they are.
The Honey Badgers were a bit of an unknown quantity leading into the season. However, the core nucleolus of a strong team is in place and now they'll be looking to build experience and depth also. Their round 4 win over the Donkeys was a solid confidence builder.
Round 6 is on 13 April.
