There was a calm aura about them that comes with confidence. The outcome was no surprise to many and on the night they were simply very good.
The T4L 22 Opens Club Championship was won by the Honey Badgers again backing up their dominant performance in the T4L21 season. The team consisted of the familiar faces of Archie Eather, Lachie McNee, Will Doyle, Henry George and the reluctant but very capable Jack Watkins.
They led from start to finish with the gap widening as they went. Henry and Archie led the way with four flash tops from as many attempts. Lachie McNee was his usual brutally strong self and Jack performed exceptionally well with his first finals appearance. Will Doyle had a massive week leading into this event and underperformed by his own standards but held his own regardless and collectively they dominated the final.
A team is the sum of all its parts and the manner each player carried himself sets a fine example for the club and the younger members.
Well done Badgers you've done yourselves and us all proud.
